Past lives in Gong Zhen.

Previous years

Guangong Town, located in Taipei, usually refers to the irrigation canal built by Guo Xizhen at 1740, which has almost been completely filled and abandoned. In addition, many people will call the sewage ditch built by the Governor's Office of Taiwan Province Province under the viaduct of Taipei Xinsheng North Road 1930 as sewage ditch.

The approximate scale of Shenzhen in Zhu Gong was built by Guo Xiju. Originally from Zhangzhou, Fujian, China, he immigrated to Taiwan Province Province with his father in his childhood and lived in Changhua. 1736 (the first year of Qing Qianlong), together with Zhangzhou people, reclaimed from Changhua to Taipei and settled in Zhonglunzhuang, Taipei. Due to the land reclamation in Zhonglun area, the experience of building irrigation ditches was gained.

1753 exchanged water sources with Xiao Miaoxing, the pioneer of Wuzhuang village in Dapinglin, and the water diversion project was tunneled and channeled from Dapinglin Datan. 1762 (27 years of Qianlong), it took 22 years to cut through Shenzhen Road in Shidong. This section of waterway passing through Jin Xin Store, Jingmei, Mansion and Songshan is collectively called Qingtan Town or Jinhe Hechuan Shenzhen. But it is often said that it is a tribute to the public, and justice is a respectful name for him.

this life

At the back door of the school, there is a small park called Gonggong Town Park and a small fountain. There is a water valve around the fountain. Some water in the fountain flows back through the grid on the floor, and some water is led to the nearby pool through the wooden drainage trough. There are fish swimming in the pool, which is very uncomfortable. Later, in class, the teacher told us about the water conservancy culture in Taiwan Province Province, and the teacher mentioned it as a case. Due to historical reasons, there are only a few fragments in the existing Gong Zhen. Goodbye Gong Zhen, it's a drizzly night. My friend and I took an umbrella, took a bus from school to the mansion, followed the navigation, and finally found it at the door of a community. "However, before she came to us, we shouted for a thousand times and urged her for a thousand times, but she still hid half of her face behind the guitar so that we wouldn't see it." Gong Zhen in the rain in the distance couldn't touch the whole picture. Approached, a monument, a stream, a garden, in front of which is the tributary site of Gong Zhen. The monument introduces the history of Zhugong Town. The fish in the stream play and the running water tells the past. Gong Zhen Park, built by the stream, has stone paths, shrubs, flowers and fallen leaves ... Because I couldn't find the entrance, I couldn't bear to climb over the fence, so I only looked at the park on the periphery. Not far away, it is a viaduct, and the car is driving on the road. There was silence in the park, no pedestrians, only the sound of rain beating on umbrellas.

postscript

It has been suggested that the site of Gonggong Town near National Taiwan Province University should be restored ... However, this proposal has not been fully implemented so far. As an important water conservancy system in Taipei's history, many public facilities are now built on the old site. The present situation of Gong Zhen can be divided into five sections:

The inner surface of RC of Shenzhen Tou (Bitan)-Jingmei Bridge is drained, and some sections of Shenzhen are covered;

Lubei-Mansion is built at Jingmei Bridge Head, with internal drainage in RC, and the Shenzhen section is all stamped;

The Da 'an branch line of National Taiwan University Campus is equipped with an ecological pool, with the Shenzhen section partially completed and the rest covered.

National Taiwan University (the original monument next to the gate)-Xinsheng South Road (the Shenzhen section is fully covered)-National Taipei University of Technology (the surrounding ecological river);

National Taipei University of Technology-Xinsheng North Road (all sections of Shenzhen are elevated).

? There are two views on the restoration of public schools, one is full restoration, and the other is partial restoration. I support partial restoration because Gong Zhen once played a very important role in the history of Taiwan Province. Restoring the unfinished part can let us relive history. In addition, the water conservancy system has a good impact on the environment and ecology, realizing the concept of harmonious coexistence between man and nature. However, because the viaduct is built on the former site of the tributary, if it is demolished, it will cause great pressure on the traffic of Xinsheng North Road. The significance of restoring the ancient town of Gong Zhen lies in its profound historical connotation. With the passage of time, it has little impact on water conservancy and cannot be fully restored, which will have an important impact on water problems in Taipei. However, the demolished viaduct will lead to the diversion of main roads. If it is serious, it may lead to a short-term traffic paralysis on Xinsheng North Road. From the left and right, moreover, infrastructure construction costs hundreds of millions. If it is demolished, it will cost a lot of money to restore it, which is not cost-effective from an economic point of view. So partial recovery is a way to kill two birds with one stone.

? Now, the canal section in the campus of National Taiwan University has partially reappeared, and the rivers around National Taipei University of Technology have also been completed. A park and a monument were built on the old site to tell passers-by about the past.

The last thing that can't be left is history, the last thing that can't be destroyed is ancient architecture, and the last thing that can't be abandoned is culture ... Perhaps Gong Zhen has lost her former glory and role, but as civil servants, we have the responsibility to keep these disappearing buildings, which will be the best gift we can leave to future generations. ...
