Once upon a time, Wenxi's industrial economy was developed, but the development of urbanization was obviously lagging behind. Industrialization and urbanization are two indispensable wings of economic and social development, and they seem to be a bit unbalanced. Therefore, the county and town party committees and governments and all walks of life have gradually formed a * * * understanding: Wenxi, as a part of the Youth League, must be based on the advantages of industrial economic development, take Wenxi as the experimental area for reform, try first, speed up the urbanization construction, make industrialization and urbanization go hand in hand, complement each other, and realize the progress of social civilization. At present, seven industrial parks, including Yatai, Yierkang and Yili Hardware, have been built in the town, and 10 industrial parks, such as Ante and Xinqingshan Special Steel, are under construction. Developing industrial clusters with perfect facilities and obvious scale has become an important means for Wenxi to accelerate industrial agglomeration. Industrialization provides a solid industrial foundation for urbanization, and at the same time, it also promotes the perfection of various elements of urbanization in Wenxi. More importantly, the agglomeration of enterprises promotes the agglomeration of population. According to incomplete statistics, Wenxi has absorbed nearly 20,000 people from poor counties and other places. The commissioning of New Qingshan Special Steel and a number of industrial parks under construction and preparation mean that thousands of employees will enter the park. Many migrants moved their registered permanent residence to Wenxi and became real Wenxi people. At the same time of population agglomeration, the town party Committee and government regard residential quarters as an important carrier to accelerate population agglomeration. At present, some communities in Dai Jiang have been fully opened, while others have entered a period of comprehensive construction. The residential area covers an area of 92 mu, and more than 1000 houses will be built to accept the poor people down the mountain, some enterprise migrant workers and beach immigrants. The agglomeration of enterprises has promoted the accelerated development of the tertiary industry. At present, Wenxi's real estate market has gradually turned hot, and the prices of various sectors are soaring. The government also seized this opportunity well, standardized the real estate market, warmed up the real estate development, and let Wenxi's real estate development fully enter the market with the concept of management.

Industrial agglomeration, population agglomeration and the development of tertiary industry have promoted the expansion of Wenxi urban area. On the one hand, relying on towns and industrial parks to enjoy public facilities. On the other hand, industrial parks are regarded as the continuation of towns, effectively expanding the urban area. The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the National Development and Reform Commission and other seven ministries * * * released the latest list of 3,675 key towns in China, among which Zhejiang * * 137 towns were selected, and Wenxi Town and Chuanliao Town of our county were listed.

At the same time, according to the requirements of the document, the list of national key towns published in 2004 was abolished at the same time.

It is understood that national key towns are the focus and leader of the development of small towns, and will give support in terms of policies, land and project arrangements in the future. In order to be "famous on the list", the "comprehensive quality" of being selected into a small town must be excellent. Different from the GDP in 2004, the conditions for being selected as a national key town are more comprehensive, including: population reaching a certain scale, obvious location advantages, great potential for economic development, perfect service functions, high level of planning and management, and strong scientific and technological innovation ability.
