What do l and g mean in the visa?

L G is a Hong Kong and Macao visa.

There are four kinds of endorsements to Hong Kong and Macao: L-type endorsements (that is, group travel endorsements must enter the country with the tour group); G endorsement (that is, individual travel endorsement, free to travel to Hong Kong and Macao without restrictions on group travel); S endorsement (that is, business endorsement); T endorsement (that is, visiting relatives endorsement).

G endorsement (individual travel endorsement) is only applicable to Guangdong Province (Shenzhen, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Foshan, Dongguan, Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Huizhou, Shaoguan, Heyuan, Zhanjiang, Yangjiang, Shanwei, Maoming, Jieyang, Shantou, Chaozhou, Qingyuan, Meizhou, Zhaoqing and Yunfu) and 28 mainland cities (Shanghai, Beijing, Nanjing and Yunfu). Shijiazhuang, Zhengzhou, Changchun, Hefei, Wuhan), G visa holders do not need to follow the travel agency to enter and leave Hong Kong and Macao. Generally speaking, there are four kinds of endorsements: once every three months, twice every three months, 1 year, and 1 year (one endorsement from Hong Kong and one endorsement from Macao for representatives entering and leaving Hong Kong ports), and each stay can not exceed 7 days.
