In 2003, more than 270 mu of land was transferred, and a pollution-free vegetable base was established through the contract of the owner, which laid a good foundation for the development of agricultural industrialization in Tanba Township.

In 2004, Shawan Power Station started construction in Tanba Township, built a power station bridge and opened a passenger bus from Tanba to Shawan. Taking the power station construction as an opportunity, the township has built four new resettlement sites. In 2009, the per capita net income of farmers reached 5 109 yuan.
