Reading notes along the way

I started reading Linda's books all the way today. Linda is an alias shared by a Chinese American couple. Her husband's name is Ding Hongfu and her wife's name is Li Xiaolin. They immigrated to the United States on 199 1. During their stay in the United States, they wrote many works introducing the United States, which was called "introducing one of the best American writers".

In this book, Linda and his wife are reading, walking in a small town along the footsteps of American pioneers, and recording what they see, think and feel. Now I have read nearly 100 page, and I feel that the writing is vivid, insightful and worthy of the name.

America is a famous country with no history. However, you can feel a strong sense of history everywhere. Every humble small village and town will have their historical protection buildings; They will mark18××× year on the nameplate of their small newspaper, or even17××× year; Sometimes, they build a small museum. Although the exhibits may only be some old farm tools, hoes and plows, they are serious about raising money and volunteering there. After reading it, you can feel that in this young country, it seems that something has been standing there, balanced and stable. Perhaps it is a kind of love for hometown; Perhaps it is a kind of respect for the predecessors who planted trees; Perhaps, it is a little awareness of cultural accumulation; Perhaps, for them, this is nothing, just a part of free life.

4. No country in history can avoid tragedy, but if it starts from the first minute of the incident, dissidents are allowed to express openly and fully debate. Then, perhaps such a tragedy will only be written on that page of history, and it does not need to be re-recorded by future generations over and over again in future history.
