Comparison between Huzhou East New Town and South Taihu New District

1. As the sub-center of Huzhou's central city, the East New Town is the core block of Huzhou's central city development, with a total area of 183 square kilometers and a recent construction area of 98 square kilometers, of which the central area is 46 square kilometers, east to Zhili West Third Ring Road, west to 3 18 Outer Ring Road, south to Changhu Shenyang Line and north to Su Shen Zhejiang-Anhui Expressway. It is a group area in the overall layout of "One Belt, Two Groups and Four Axes" in Huzhou City, bearing the functions of politics, economy, culture, education and tourism. Located at the intersection of two ecological green corridors in Huzhou, there are four mountains and fifteen rivers such as Xishan, Shangshan and Xishanyang. With high starting point, complete functions and beautiful environment, the new city is listed as an important group of advanced manufacturing industry in the industrial belt around Hangzhou Bay by the Zhejiang provincial government. It is the bridgehead connecting Huzhou with Shanghai, and has set the goal of building it into a pioneering area for opening to the outside world, a demonstration area for coordinating urban and rural development, and a central area for gathering advantageous industries.

2. Huzhou South Taihu New District is an administrative district and development zone (park) under the jurisdiction of Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is one of the four provincial-level new districts approved by Zhejiang Provincial People's Government. Huzhou City, located in the north of Zhejiang Province and south of Taihu Lake, has a planned control area of 225 square kilometers. The spatial scope includes the core area of Huzhou South Taihu Industrial Cluster, the whole area of Huzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone and Huzhou Taihu Tourism Resort, five villages in Zhu Huan Street, Wuxing District, Huzhou City, and some Yangshan Mountains in Changxing County.
