Colonists in South Africa's history intensified their struggle.

In the 196s and 198s, extremely rich diamond mines and gold mines were discovered in Orange and Transvaal respectively. A large number of European immigrants poured into South Africa. With the rise of modern industry centered on mining and the establishment of cities, a large number of Africans left the reservation and went to work in mines.

In order to control the whole territory of South Africa, Britain annexed Transvaal in 1877 and conquered Zulu Kingdom in 1879. The Boers in Transvaal were extremely dissatisfied with British rule and went to war against the British in December 188. Because of the scattered forces, Britain was defeated by the Boer army in the Battle of Majuba Mountain, and was forced to recognize the complete autonomy of Transvaal's internal affairs. In p>199, the British Parliament promulgated the South African Federation Act. The cooperative relationship between the British and the Boers in jointly ruling Africans was determined, and the differential treatment between whites and blacks was stipulated. In 191, Britain organized Cape, Natal, Transvaal and Orange into the South African Federation. During the First World War, the South African authorities sent troops to occupy Namibia in July 1915 in the name of participating in the allied war. On December 17th, 192, the League of Nations appointed South Africa to rule Namibia. In April 1949, the South African Parliament passed the Southwest Africa Affairs Amendment Act and illegally annexed Namibia. In May 1961, the Federation of South Africa announced its withdrawal from the Commonwealth and established the Republic of South Africa.
