Permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region are: (1) China citizens born in Hong Kong before or after the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; (2) China citizens who have ordinarily resided in Hong Kong for more than seven consecutive years before or after the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; (3) Children of China nationality born outside Hongkong by the residents listed in items (1) and (2); (4) Non-China nationals who entered Hong Kong with valid travel documents before or after the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, have ordinarily resided in Hong Kong for more than seven consecutive years, and have taken Hong Kong as their permanent residence;
