What country is Tel Aviv?

Tel Aviv belongs to Israel.

Tel Aviv, Tel Aviv-Jaffa, was originally founded in 1909. It was built by a group of Jewish immigrants to escape the expensive housing prices in Jaffa, an ancient port city nearby. Gradually, Tel Aviv has surpassed Jaffa, which is dominated by Arabs. 1950, two years after the founding of Israel, Tel Aviv and Jaffa merged to form Tel Aviv-Jaffa.

Tel Aviv, located in the Mediterranean coastal plain of Israel, has historically been a land bridge connecting Europe, Asia and Africa. From Jaffa to the north, the landform of Tel Aviv immediately turned into a large sand dune, so the soil fertility was poor. Tel Aviv is located in the plain, the terrain is generally flat, and there is no obvious terrain fluctuation. Therefore, the most striking geographical features here are the Mediterranean coastline and the cliffs at the mouth of the sub-sea. In modern times, due to the expansion of Tel Aviv and Dan metropolitan area, there is no obvious boundary between Tel Aviv and Jaffa, and between Tel Aviv and surrounding cities. From Tel Aviv, 60 kilometers to the southeast is Jerusalem, the capital of Israel, and 90 kilometers to the north is Haifa, a port city in northern Israel.

Tel Aviv's climate is a typical Mediterranean climate type. Tel Aviv is a humid city in Israel, with more rainfall from June 10 to April of the following year, and little rainfall in summer. The temperature rarely drops below 5℃ in winter, usually between 10℃ and 15℃, while the average temperature in summer is 26℃, but it may reach 35℃ in hot summer. The average annual rainfall is 530mm.
