The introduction of this family role

Kelly Jacobs (maia mitchell): The heroine of this play, aged 16, is the latest girl adopted by the foster family. She loves her brother Jude very much. After coming to a new family, she and Brandon went to the previous foster home to rescue her brother. She lives in the same bedroom as Marianne. After her affair with Brandon became public, she ran away from home and lived in a girl's house for fear of implicating her younger brother.

Marianne anna foerster (cierra ramirez): 15 years old, is the twin sister of Jesus. She is very smart and cares about dressing herself up. But sometimes she does stupid things. For example, in order to give money to her biological mother who abandoned her brother and sister, she stole Jesse's pills and sold them to others. Her best friend is Lexi, and she is also Jessie's girlfriend.

Jesus Foster (Jake T. Austin): 15 years old, is Marianne's twin brother. He suffers from attention deficit disorder (ADHD). To stabilize his illness, he needs to take medicine every day. After he found out that Marianne had sold his medicine, he took responsibility for his sister. He started dating Lacey after helping her get rid of her ex-boyfriend. In episode 1 1 of the first season, Lacey's family returned to Honduras because of illegal immigration.

Brandon Foster (David Lambert): 16 years old, the son of Steve and ex-husband Mike. He is very talented in music and a kind person who takes care of his younger brothers and sisters. His girlfriend's name is Talya. She was so jealous when she saw Brandon helping Kelly that she tried her best to get rid of her. He has broken up with Taiya and married his beloved Kelly.

Steve Foster (teri polo): She is a policeman, Brandon's biological mother and Mike's ex-wife.

Lena Adams (Sherri Saum): Steve's wife and Brandon's stepmother. She is the vice principal of a school in the community, where all her children study.

Jude Jacob (hayden byerly): Kelly's younger brother, rescued from the former foster home by Kelly and Brandon, came to the foster home.

Mike Foster (danny nucci): He is a policeman, and now he is on duty with his ex-wife Steve. He is also Brandon's biological father. He and Shi often talk about family affairs during their patrol.
