You can go to Hong Kong with your passport if you meet the following conditions:
1. You must hold a valid passport and a visa from an overseas country or region (except visa-free or landing visa).
2. Confirmed valid transport certificate (such as Hong Kong air ticket reservation certificate and ship reservation certificate)

Applications for visas/entry permits for visiting Hong Kong (including sightseeing, visiting relatives or on business) or transit may be considered for approval if they meet the following criteria:
There is no doubt about the real purpose of the applicant's coming to Hong Kong;
The applicant has sufficient travel expenses to cover the expenses during his stay in Hong Kong without having to work in Hong Kong; and
Except for transit to the mainland of China or Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR), the applicant for transit visa/entry permit must hold a continuation car/boat/air ticket to the destination.

China passport holders who travel to and from other countries or regions through Hong Kong are allowed to stay in Hong Kong for seven days each time they enter the country, without obtaining an entry permit in advance, but they must meet the general entry requirements, including holding valid entry documents for their destinations and confirming that they have booked a onward bus/boat/air ticket for overseas.
Mainland residents who hold valid two-way permits and China passports at the same time should present their two-way permits or China passports (except those who return to the Mainland from Macau via Hong Kong) to enter Hong Kong according to the purpose of their trip.
According to the above two provisions, mainland China residents who pass through Hong Kong with passports must hold valid China passports and meet the general entry requirements each time they enter Hong Kong, including holding valid entry documents for their destinations and confirming that they have booked a continuation car/boat/air ticket for overseas, before they can be allowed to stay in Hong Kong for seven days without obtaining an entry permit in advance.
