Research on the present situation of research-based learning of middle school students

First of all, the questions raised

In order to fully implement quality education and cultivate students' innovative spirit and practical ability, in 2000, the Ministry of Education took research-based learning as a compulsory course and included it in the curriculum plan of full-time ordinary high schools (for trial revision). Since September, 20001year, it has been listed as a formal course in No.1 Middle School and has become a compulsory course for every student. Since then, research-based learning has flourished in City No.1 Middle School. At the beginning of the implementation, the students also made some gratifying achievements. However, because the course is in the primary stage, for students, the understanding of inquiry learning course is not thorough enough, which leads some people to show insufficient enthusiasm for "research" in the learning process and regard it as a joke. As far as schools are concerned, many reasons, such as imperfect rules and regulations and insufficient supply of facilities, also hinder and inhibit students' enthusiasm for "research"

It can be seen that the dual role of internal and external factors has set many obstacles to the development of research-based learning. Therefore, the current situation of this course and how to better carry out this course have become our common concern.

Secondly, the present situation and analysis of research-based learning in a middle school in Changde city.

In March 2003, the research group of this topic conducted a questionnaire survey on the current situation of research-based learning of students in our school. 0/20 questionnaires were sent out and 0/00 questionnaires were collected.

The time to carry out research study in our school is every Thursday afternoon. Through investigation, we found that 85% of the students were doing research during this period. Less than 10% of the students also conducted surveys on weekends, and almost no students conducted surveys in winter and summer vacations. It is understood that to complete a successful project, it takes a certain amount of time to collect and sort out data, and it is also necessary to investigate and study the implementation mode of the project and the structure and layout of the final results display from time to time, and sometimes it needs to be carried out outside the school because of the need for questionnaires, manuscripts and other work.

In the topic selection stage, 5 1% students can choose topics according to their hobbies and have certain goals. 12% discuss with the teacher and ask the teacher to guide the selection. Another 65,438+02% students make inquiries through the Internet, books and other channels. Multi-channel topic selection shows that students have great autonomy in research and can arrange their own research direction and practice.

How do you spend your research study class every Thursday? There are 56% students who study hard and pay more attention to this course. However, 2/5 students have time to do activities or do homework in other subjects during this period, and a few even have fun online. They waste a lot of time and can't carry out research effectively, so that some research groups are dissolved or personnel are transferred around during the research process, which becomes an unfavorable factor hindering normal research. It is also difficult to cultivate and embody the practicality, innovation and autonomy that should be paid attention to in the process of research-based learning.

At present, most of the research results of the research group are displayed through research reports. The research report can fully reflect the research process. 52% students get their own research reports through their own research results, which reflects students' ability to analyze and use information. About 40% of the students reprinted some contents related to this topic from the internet or books to fill in their own reports, or wrote them out of thin air. These situations show that some students do not attach importance to research-based learning, and have to improvise some meaningless words in order to cope with the test of their grades. For this course, 80% students think it is very meaningful, and half of them think it should be continued or think it will have an impact on other studies. 7% students think this course is meaningless and a waste of time. The remaining students are indifferent. Students' different attitudes towards this will also affect their actual actions in carrying out research-based learning.

Students fully affirmed the guiding role of teachers and put forward suggestions. I hope that teachers will spend more time guiding students, communicate with students seriously, pay more attention to the implementation of students' projects, and don't guide too many projects, but few but good.

Students have also said that they have gained a lot in research-based learning: they have accumulated more knowledge, cultivated their practical ability and innovative ability, and exercised their stronger thinking ability; In the process of practice, the research group has also strengthened its sense of responsibility, improved its consciousness and brought into play the spirit of unity and cooperation.

The students also mentioned the difficulties in the development of inquiry learning. Most people say that it is difficult to find information, and there is often insufficient information, and a large amount of information is difficult to handle. In addition, it is also mentioned that the lack of time and unclear division of labor among team members make it difficult to carry out the work. At the same time, I hope to conduct more experiments and conduct in-depth social investigation.

We asked the teacher. Most teachers are very positive about the research-based learning course, and they also point out that it is normal for this course to have some problems in a short time. Some teachers also think that the current development form can't really improve the ability, and it may waste the normal study time on Thursday afternoon, so there should be a better form.

The above contents are the results of our investigation on developing research-based learning courses for students. In order to have a deeper understanding of the development and development of the curriculum, we have conducted in-depth research.

As a new course, inquiry learning aims to cultivate students' consciousness, openness and creativity. At the beginning of the proposal, the students were full of great curiosity and freshness. Think about it. On campus, you can do experimental research like a great scientist with your classmates, or you can set up an organization like the Red Cross to do literary research ... but many problems also follow. The first is the topic selection. How to find a topic that is suitable for studying in school and can meet the requirements of fixed time on Thursday afternoon without too many tools? With so many demands, the enthusiasm of the students will be greatly reduced at the last intersection. A small number of students cringed before choosing a topic, either hanging their names on other people's research groups at will, or listening to a topic put forward by the tutor at random and learning at a loss; There are also people who casually find a topic to perfunctory. Of course, there are also many students whose topics are novel and valuable. For example, the study of accompanying high school students, the development and prospect of mobile phones, the improvement and comparative analysis of the experiment of chloroplast extraction and separation of pigments, and the study of children's psychological problems in single-parent families. On the whole, students' topics cover various disciplines and angles: social, economic, environmental, psychological and other aspects, as well as literature, science and technology and content closely related to textbooks, which is worthy of recognition.

We also found that many excellent topics have some common characteristics. Social problems, the topic is novel, and the topic is developed and studied in view of the hot issues in today's society. For practical topics, it is of practical value to contact disciplines and start research from a small place. In the research process, the team leader arranges the work, and the team members coordinate the work with clear goals. Finally, in the writing of the paper, we can have our own views on the analysis of the research topic, and the paper is rigorous in structure and rich in content.

There are still many problems in the research process. For example, the goal is difficult to achieve, the time is not enough, the ability is limited, the data is difficult to find, the existing data is difficult to count, and the report is difficult to write ... You have chosen a topic, but what should you do next and what kind of results should you get to be a good job. Time is limited, not only the weekly time is limited, but also a semester is only a few weeks, so it is difficult to produce results; The result cannot be too simple, so it has no research value; It can't be too complicated, so there is no progress. Compared with scientists' research for more than ten years, our months are nothing. And the time is chaotic, and I have to write a monitoring table from time to time. Who can guarantee that you will get something every time? Coupled with the narrow scope of activities, many studies can not be carried out at all, and limited conditions always restrict our better play.

The focus of research-based learning still lies in the research process, and it is particularly important for students to gain knowledge, ideas and abilities in the research process. The initial purpose of carrying out research study is to gain experience, cultivate ability and attitude, promote interpersonal relationship, and cultivate a sense of responsibility and mission.

Many students feel that it is really difficult for them to achieve their goals in the research, which has a lot to do with whether they have listened carefully to the opinions of their tutors. Most students have contacted their tutors and had in-depth exchanges. After listening to the teacher's opinions, the tutor can always give some helpful opinions to the students in some aspects, and the role of the tutor can not be ignored. As a new course, people have different attitudes towards inquiry learning. For such a new course, different people have different views on its present situation and problems. It is precisely because of its problems that it has been perfected and matured in the process of constantly discovering and solving problems. Therefore, it is necessary for us to point out the difficulties, troubles and shortcomings we are encountering now. In order to better carry out research-based learning in the future, we should also constantly affirm our achievements and make them icing on the cake.

Third, the implementation plan and suggestions of research-based learning

According to the Interim Regulations on the Management of Inquiry Learning in Changde No.1 Middle School, the management measures of inquiry learning in our school mainly include the following aspects:

1, to establish a research-based learning course management organization.

2. The credit management system of inquiry learning. The so-called credit system is a management system that decomposes the process and results of inquiry learning into several evaluation items and gives them certain scores, formulates evaluation rules, and then grades students' inquiry learning according to the evaluation rules. The system contains a number of detailed rules to comprehensively manage and evaluate students' research-based learning.

3. Guide teachers to perform their duties.

4, service staff must perform their duties.

Although the regulations put forward more perfect measures for the management of research-based learning in many aspects, there are inevitably loopholes because the research-based learning in our school has just formed and needs further development. The schedule of research study needs to be further improved. The school stipulates that the time for research study is the seventh and eighth classes on Thursday afternoon. Because of the short time, students are forbidden to go out for investigation, and can only conduct research study in small areas such as school computer rooms and libraries. This restricts the implementation of such topics as "Xiangjiang River Water Pollution Investigation" and "Rock Specimen Collection and Production" that need in-depth investigation and study in society, and also discourages the enthusiasm of students to a certain extent, which is not conducive to the full development of research-based learning. Most of the students interviewed hope that the school can appropriately extend the time of research study and make appropriate adjustments to allow students to go out for inspection.

In addition, due to the coming exam or other subjects, the research study time has been occupied for self-study or watching TV series. Although the incidence of such incidents is extremely low, it also reflects to some extent that the school has not paid enough attention to this newly opened subject. This is also an aspect that some students want the school to improve.

In the process of students forming groups in research-based learning, there are often more than six or seven people forming groups. Due to the large number of team members, the task is concentrated on some team members, and others basically do not participate in learning. This makes many team members unable to give full play to their potential and improve their comprehensive quality. In view of this situation, schools should limit the number of teams, preferably less than four, and encourage one person to study independently.

According to the difference of students' comprehensive quality, the school can guide students to be divided into two groups spontaneously: elite group with high enthusiasm and research ability; An ordinary group that doesn't care about research-based learning. The school can organize students to have 7 or 8 classes of research study every day, and require research results for the group with strong research ability, while the ordinary group aims at cultivating research ability.

Subjectively speaking, students' enthusiasm for research-based learning is very important. Schools can effectively mobilize students' subjective initiative, which will be conducive to the further development of research-based learning. The students surveyed have certain requirements for the instructors. It can be seen that students hope to have a better tutor to guide them, and a good tutor is also very important for mobilizing students' enthusiasm.

After hard work, I always hope to have a rich harvest. However, after a semester's hard work, some students failed to get the desired results, so they were discouraged, and thus discouraged and lost interest in research-based learning. Last semester, the school edited an album of research learning achievements, which affirmed the students' efforts for a semester. However, due to the wide coverage of the whole school, it is impossible to cover everything. In view of this phenomenon, some classes held a research exhibition last semester, which played a very good role in mobilizing students' enthusiasm. Schools can also commend students with outstanding research achievements, such as setting up awards such as "students with outstanding research achievements". If the whole school and all classes take a series of measures to affirm and display students' research results, I believe it will effectively mobilize students' enthusiasm and promote the development of research-based learning.

Although the school provides students with various objective factors, students' correct and full understanding of research-based learning is the most important reason to exert their subjective initiative. Although the school has provided conditions for inquiry learning as much as possible, it still cannot meet the needs of students because of its wide scope. Therefore, if conditions permit, schools can open more service organizations. For example, opening more computer rooms, increasing library collections and opening more biochemical laboratories, I believe this will be more conducive to the development of research-based learning.

Today, with the vigorous development of research-based learning in our school, I believe that the school will continue to improve the rules and regulations in the process of absorbing experience and accepting suggestions, and the prospect of research-based learning in our school is bright.

I wonder if it is useful to the landlord?

The writing method of investigation report

First, the characteristics of investigation report writing

1, concept and special function

(1) Realism. The investigation report is based on a large number of realistic and historical materials, and truly reflects an objective thing with narrative language. Fully understanding the facts and mastering authentic and reliable materials is the basis for writing a good investigation report.

(2) pertinence. The investigation report usually has a clear intention, and the relevant investigation and evidence collection are all aimed at and around a comprehensive or thematic situation. Therefore, the situation reflected in the investigation report is concentrated and profound.

(3) logic. The investigation report is inseparable from the solid reality, but it is not a mechanical stacking of materials. It is a rigorous logical demonstration of the verified data and reality, to find out the reasons for the development and change of things, to predict the development and change trend of things, to prompt the substance and regularity of things, and to draw scientific conclusions.

Step 2 classify

(1) investigation report on current situation. It is a survey report that systematically reflects the basic situation of the region and the unit. The square root of this survey report is to find out the situation and use it for decision makers.

(2) Typical experience investigation report. It is an investigation report that summarizes the new experience in the work through the fire analysis of typical cases, thus guiding and promoting some work.

(3) Investigation report. It is a kind of investigation report aimed at a certain situation, which finds out the true truth, determines the cause and nature of the situation, clarifies the damage caused, and puts forward ways and measures to solve the situation, providing a basis for the final handling of the situation and providing reference for other interested parties.

Second, the writing of the investigation report

Research reports on the types of middle school students' reading reports should not be subject to too many restrictions. Anything you are interested in, you can look up the information, compile it into words and talk about your own understanding. This is also a middle school study, but the method adopted is not the one verified by experiments. We should not restrict the procedure of reading the report too much, but it must be emphasized that the content of your report must be related to the theme and the content must be elaborated around the theme. It's best to add a title between each paragraph, and put different contents under different titles to make readers see at a glance.

Third, the writing of the investigation report.

Title, signature, text.

1, title: three ways of writing.

The title is the writing method of the title of the article (such as the type structure of vegetables in a city and the project of developing "mother water cellar" to get rid of the water shortage dilemma).

(2) The title is similar to the official document title (e.g. Report on Performance Survey of Rural Credit Cooperatives and Investigation on Ecological Migration in Inner Mongolia).

(3) The writing of the positive and negative topics is usually to reveal the theme of the topic, and the negative topic is to write down the items or scope of investigation. (For example, revitalizing the economy depends on science and technology-a survey of Baotou's industrial development relying on scientific and technological personnel). )

2. Department name: the name, grade and class should be signed under the heading.

3. Text: It consists of preface and the text of the investigation report.

Foreword: briefly explain the purpose; Time and place of investigation. Object or scope; What investigations have been conducted; What is the main content of this paper? This part, first of all, introduces the basic situation and puts forward the situation, and the writing can be sensitive and diverse. The main body of the investigation report: first, describe and discuss the reality. Usually, the primary situation, experience or situation of the investigation are summarized into several situations and written into several small parts. Each small part has a center, which is represented by a sequence code, or a subtitle is used to prompt and summarize the content of this part to make it clear.

Fourth, the writing of the investigation report

An investigation report usually consists of a title and a text.

(1) title. There are two ways to write a title. One is the standard title format, that is, "post theme" plus "genre", and the basic format is "investigation report on ××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××× The other is freestyle topic, including three types: statement, question and combination of positive and negative questions. Chen's style is as follows: (1) Investigation on the employment situation of master graduates of Northeast Normal University; The style of questioning is as follows: Why do college graduates tend to choose jobs in coastal areas and Beijing and Tianjin? The main title is the center of explaining the main conclusions or presenting the investigation report, and the sub-title indicates the object, scope and situation of the investigation, which is actually similar to the standard format of "publishing the theme" and "language", such as "The development of colleges and universities focuses on discipline construction-× As an official document, it is best to use a standardized title format or a freestyle title combining positive and negative themes.

(2) the text. The text is usually divided into three parts: preface, text and ending.

1, preface. There are several ways to write it: the first way is to state the reason or purpose, time and place, object or scope, process and method, personnel composition, etc. of the investigation itself, from which the central situation or fundamental conclusion can be drawn. The second is to state the historical background, general development process, actual situation, major achievements and outstanding situations of the respondents, and then put forward the central situation or the first concept. The third is to come straight to the point and directly summarize the survey results, such as affirming the practice, pointing out the situation, prompting the impact, and explaining the central content. Foreword plays the role of making the finishing point, so it should be concise and to the point.

2, the main body. This is the most important part of the investigation report, which introduces in detail the basic situation, practice and experience of the investigation and research, as well as various specific understandings, concepts and fundamental conclusions obtained from the analysis of the materials obtained from the investigation and research.

3, the end. There are also many ways to write the ending, which can put forward methods and countermeasures to solve the situation or measures to improve the work in the next step. Or summarize the first concept of the full text to further deepen the theme. Or put forward the situation to cause people to think further. Or look to the future and send out encouragement and call.
