Schengen visa and EU visa

At present, most countries in Europe that implement the policy of "buying houses and emigrating" are Schengen countries. For this reason, many applicants are prone to the misunderstanding that "with a Schengen visa, they can travel freely throughout the EU countries". To this end, we need to understand the concepts of "Schengen visa" and "EU visa".

What is Schengen? 1985, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg signed an agreement in the small town of Schengen, Luxembourg, stipulating that member countries will issue unified visas (Schengen visas) to short-term stays. Once an applicant obtains a visa from a certain country, he can travel freely in all Schengen countries within the validity period of the visa.

For this reason, it is easy for us to conclude that Schengen countries and EU countries are completely different concepts. Although many countries belong to these two concepts, there are exceptions. At present, the 27 member States of the European Union either implement the Schengen Agreement or implement their own independent visa policies, and there is no unified visa accepted by all EU countries. The so-called "EU visa" is a non-existent concept.
