Is Hunan a multilingual province?

Considering the minority languages and dialect islands, if the number of other dialects in the seven major dialect areas is taken as the standard, Hunan is indeed the most complicated area in the country, or at least one of them (the number of dialect areas and the population ratio of each dialect area can only be compared with Hunan, of course, if the minority languages in Guangxi are more complicated than Hunan, the dialects in Fujian, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Guangdong and Hainan provinces are also diverse, so I won't mention it here. Finally, there is another one.

Hunan involves four of the seven major dialect areas, of which the population of Southwest Mandarin and Gan dialect is not much less than that of Xiang dialect, and there are two dialects outside the seven dialect systems, specifically:

Hunan dialect is dominated by Xiang dialect, including Changyi piece represented by Changsha and Yiyang, Loushao piece represented by Loudi and Shaoyang, Xuji piece/Chenxi piece represented by Jishou and Chenxi. At present, some people also adopt the method of three major divisions plus five major divisions of Hengzhou film (represented by Hengyang and Hengshan) and Yongquan film (represented by Yongzhou and Daojiang), and there are also new Xiang dialect (represented by Changsha) and old Xiang dialect (represented by Xiangxiang and Shuangfeng).

Southwest Mandarin is spoken in southwest and northwest Hunan, including Changhe film represented by Changde, Qianbei film represented by Huaihua and Xinhuang, and Jiang Cen film represented by Jingxian. Then, southern Hunan, represented by Yongzhou and Chenzhou, is an area where southwest mandarin and dialect are used together;

Gan dialect is spoken in eastern Hunan and Dongsui areas, including Datong film represented by Huarong Road, Changjing film represented by Pingjiang, Liuyang film represented by Liuyang, Jicha film represented by Chaling, Lei+film represented by Leiyang and Dongsui film represented by Dongsui.

In addition to these three dialects, a very special dialect called Xiangxiang/Waxiang dialect is spoken in the mountainous areas of western Hunan, and then Hakka dialect is spoken in a small area at the junction of southeast Hunan and south Jiangxi, represented by Guidong and Rucheng.
