Article 9 of the "Interim Regulations on Residence Permit" stipulates:

(1) To apply for a residence permit, one must apply to the police station or police station at the place of residence. The community service agency entrusted by the public security organ shall submit the resident ID card, personal photo, and supporting materials such as residence address, employment, and schooling.

(4) The applicant and the issuer of relevant certification materials shall be responsible for the authenticity and legality of the certification materials specified in this article.

If the application materials are incomplete, the public security police station or the community service agency entrusted by the public security organ shall notify the applicant of the required supplementary materials at one time.

(5) For those who meet the conditions for applying for a residence permit, the public security organ shall issue a residence permit within 15 days from the date of acceptance; in remote areas, areas with inconvenient transportation, or due to special circumstances, it cannot be issued as scheduled. In the case of a residence permit, the local people's government at or above the districted city level may extend the time limit for the issuance of the residence permit in the implementation measures, but the extension shall not exceed 30 days at most.
