Evolution of the organizational system of Shilou Town

Shilou ended its 26-year history of "commune" on 1983 and was renamed as a township; 1990 1 month, from township to town. After the founding of New China, Shilou is a big agricultural town in the traditional sense, following the benefits of the plain. After decades of collective accumulation, Shilou Town has a complete agricultural infrastructure. Thanks to this, Shilou Town produced one-sixth of the grain output with one-seventh of the grain fields in the whole region. Therefore, it won the reputation of "Fangshan Ukraine". When agriculture was dominant in the last century, Shilou, as the hometown of tons of grain, was a banner of agriculture in the whole region, which not only nourished the grain production scene in Fangshan, but also supported the local economic and social development.

In the early days of reform and opening up, the idea of "no pains, no gains, no business, no life" went deep into the countryside, and the collective enterprises run by Shilou village developed rapidly. Brick factories have been established in 9 villages in the whole town 12 villages, among which Shilou Village is one of the few large brick-making enterprises with an annual output of hundreds of millions of bricks, and Shilou Town once became one of the most important building materials bases in the whole region. In addition, chemical fiber factories, plastic factories, component factories, steel window factories, construction companies and other township enterprises have also led the trend and jumped to the forefront, ranking first. Large-scale agricultural and resource-based enterprises have effectively promoted the finance of Shilou town and village, and written the glory of Shilou. With its strong economic strength, Shilou ranks among the top three star towns in Fangshan District without regret, which is the most prosperous period of Shilou.

After entering the middle period of reform and opening up, with the gradual deepening of the market economy, some deep-seated obstacles that restrict the economic development to a high level have emerged. Especially in the mid-1990s, many enterprises closed down one after another. In 2004, all clay brick factories were shut down. The traditional agriculture of Shilou has never jumped out of the mode of wheat and corn, so it has no advantages ... Since 2004, Shilou people have carried forward the spirit of "struggling with heavy burdens, pioneering and innovating, recreating advantages and recasting brilliance" and continued to write a chapter of revitalization.
