China's latest entry policy in August 2022.

Recently, I believe many friends know that the immigration policies of countries all over the world have been adjusted very quickly. In order to promote the exchange of international friends, China has further relaxed its immigration policy, allowing foreigners with these two types of documents to enter the country from August 24th. Please see below for details.

According to the notice of the relevant government departments, from 0: 00 Beijing time on August 24, 2022, the following two types of personnel can directly enter China with corresponding certificates, and there is no need to re-apply for visas to China:

Persons with valid APEC business travel cards 1

Foreign students with valid study and residence permits

At the same time, the visa application for foreigners in China was further relaxed, and the visa application for international students was gradually restored.

With the effective implementation of the domestic COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control policy, the visa ban was further loosened by the relevant departments after China adjusted its visa application conditions for China in June 2022. In order to promote international personnel exchanges and further maintain the order of epidemic prevention and control, several embassies in China successively issued notices to allow foreigners with valid APEC business travel cards and international students with valid study and residence permits to enter the country, and gradually resumed their visa applications for international students.

Long-term overseas students who have received academic education in China can apply for a study visa directly to the China Visa Application Service Center with the following information:

Freshmen: with the original and photocopy of the admission notice issued by the domestic recruiting unit, the original and photocopy of the application form for foreign students to study in China (JW20 1 or JW202 form).

Student: with the certificate of resumption of study

At present, China's embassies abroad have issued relevant notices, including Singapore, Malaysia, Nepal, Indonesia, Ireland and Mexico. It is expected that more embassies abroad will issue relevant notices in the near future. As overseas institutions have slightly different requirements and procedures for handling student visas, applicants can pay attention to the websites of overseas institutions in China in real time and get the latest information. Local governments in China have different requirements for China citizens to apply for APEC business travel cards. Enterprises or applicants can contact the Exit-Entry Business Department of KPMG China for details.
