Brief Introduction of Ekou Iron Mine in Daixian County, Xinzhou, Shanxi Province
Ekou Iron Mine is a large-scale hillside open-pit mine that has been built and put into operation for nearly 30 years. The mine was founded in September of 1958, stopped in September of 19 1 year, rebuilt in June of 1970, and put into production in June of 1977. It is one of the main raw material supply bases of Taiyuan Iron and Steel (Group) Co., Ltd. At present, the mine has formed an ore production capacity of 5 million t/a. The deposits in the mining area are divided into two areas: south and north. The south area is divided into east and west stopes by Shanyangping fault of No.38 exploration line.
