A must-see place for outbound travel with your baby. How to deal with the visa problem?

Minors must be accompanied by guardians when they apply for passports.

You must apply for a passport before applying for a visa. If your child has not yet obtained a passport and intends to travel abroad, you must obtain a personal passport belonging to your child. Moreover, minors' passports must be handled in person.

When applying for a passport, parents need to bring their children's personal photos, household registration books, parents' ID cards and relevant copies to the entry-exit administration for passport application. Due to the different requirements of entry-exit administration departments in different places, they must apply for passports in person. Please refer to the requirements of entry-exit administration departments in different places for details.

Generally speaking, you can get your child's passport in about 10~ 15 working days. The validity period of children's passports is different from that of adults, usually five years.

Here, I want to make it clear that children must go to China for passports, but parents can do it for them.

Other information that can prove the relationship between children and parents must be provided.

If the father (mother) and the child belong to the same household registration, only the father (mother)' s household registration book and ID card are needed when handling the child's passport.

If parents and children do not belong to the same household registration, more materials need to be provided, such as the child's birth certificate (or one-child certificate), the parents' or guardians' household registration book and identity card, the parents' marriage certificate or notarized or legal documents proving legal custody.

Four Fairness+Two Authentication

The visa policies of different countries are different or adjusted, subject to the actual consultation at the time of visa application.

Four notaries

① Birth notarization: "It is suitable for family members below 18 to apply for a European Schengen visa", which proves the applicant's date of birth, household registration and parents;

(2) Notarization of birth certificate: "It is suitable for family members under the age of 18 to apply for a European Schengen visa" to prove that the original and photocopy of the birth certificate are consistent;

(3) Notarization of kinship: "Applicable to students over 18 who need to use their parents' (or guarantor's) assets to apply for a visa", which proves the kinship between the applicant and the related party;

(4) Entrusted notarization: Notarization statement, which is applicable when one or both parents do not accompany their children 18 or less, and entrust the other party or other relatives to handle it on their behalf.

Two major certifications

After completing the relevant notarization, it is necessary to certify the relevant institutions, which can be divided into two types:

(1) Single certification: "That is, the notarial certificate can be sent to the foreign office for certification." Only through the certification procedures of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Foreign Affairs Office of the relevant provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities can it be recognized by the relevant competent authorities of the user country, thus having legal effect in that country;

② Double authentication: namely, the authentication of foreign affairs office and consulate. After completing the certification procedures of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China or the foreign affairs offices of relevant provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, the accredited embassies (consulates) will be certified by notaries.
