For example, before the 20 12 London Olympic Games, the Canadian Olympic Committee sent a letter to the then Canadian Immigration Minister in order to make a table tennis player from China eligible to represent Canada, requesting that the naturalization application of this player be expedited. The result was approved in less than a month.
