Begging to attend public high schools after immigrating to the United States.

Immigrating to the United States means that you will become a permanent legal resident with a green card. You don't need to apply in advance, just pay attention to a few places.

1- I don't know what grade the landlord is currently in. If you have finished the third grade or above, you'd better ask the relevant institutions to translate your student handbook (report card). My cousin used to have a familiar English teacher translate for her, and then the school stamped it. High schools in the United States are from Grade 9 to Grade 12, which is equivalent to Grade 3 to Grade 3 in China. Those below Grade 3 are unnecessary.

2- I don't know the age of the landlord. American high schools stipulate that you must graduate before the age of 2 1 at the latest, so if the landlord is over the age of 17 without a report card, he will not be admitted, because it means that the school must let you drop out early in the third or fourth year of high school, which will affect the enrollment rate of the school.

3- If you bring a valid report card, the school will send it to the relevant departments for identification to see which subjects are acceptable. Therefore, even if you are a sophomore, the school may not let you study for two years directly, but depending on the subjects you accept, you may be able to study for one year less or some subjects do not need to be studied.

4- Back to the landlord's question. After getting a green card (formal immigrants usually get it within two months after entering the country), they can directly bring their ID card and their water, electricity and gas bills to the middle school where they live. Most public schools in the United States are community-based. Until your address is within their range, and then your age meets the requirements, they must accept you. You don't need to apply in China in advance, nor can you apply in China.
