What is the use of the lanterns that Hakka people bring to weddings?

In the Hakka wedding ceremony, the matchmaker leads the groom and 12 boys to the bride's house. When going there, the matchmaker carried a drying cage with red woolen thread tied to the lifting beam, ready to be used when warming the bride's sedan chair, because in the past, when Hakka brides got married, regardless of whether they were rich or poor, they would go there in a sedan chair.

Another use of the drying cage is said to be for the bride to relieve herself. If you encounter a journey of tens or hundreds of miles, having a cage in the sedan can save the bride the pain of internal distress.
