Does anyone live on Mars?

Recently, Mauri Wiltonen, a Finnish researcher, pointed out in a report to the American Astronomical Society that recent astronomical observations and experimental results show that life on earth is very likely to come from Mars.

There are different opinions about the origin of life. Traditionally, life originated from a cell "ancestor" similar to modern bacteria. This "ancestor" later evolved into various life forms such as plants, animals and humans. The first such cell appeared on the earth 3.5-3.8 billion years ago.

However, an expert group composed of 10 European and American astronomers recently suggested that Mars, which is smaller than the earth and farther away from the sun, was already suitable for life long before the earth cooled down. Milekowski, a senior scholar from the Royal Swedish Institute of Technology, said that life on Mars appeared earlier than on Earth, and our ancestors were probably some form of "Martians".

Scientists say that if life forms really originated from Mars, they can easily reach the earth. Scientists believe that the flying of Martian meteorites to the earth is caused by the impact of comets or asteroids on the surface of Mars. Scientists estimate that as long as 1% of this rock comes to the earth, it is enough to spread the seeds of life on the earth.

Can scientists live on Mars?

A few days ago, a research team from NASA and the Mars Society entered devon island in the Canadian Arctic for a two-week life experiment simulating the Martian environment. On Devon Island, there is a cold and dry climate similar to the Martian wasteland.

Entering devon island, scientists will live in a simulated space capsule about 8 meters long and 6 meters wide, which is shaped like a big tuna can. The capsule simulates the living conditions in the Martian environment. Outside the cabin is a protective cover about 13 cm thick to isolate solar radiation. Scientists will build their temporary homes in the dark environment where things are difficult to distinguish, eat food that is easy to store, drink circulating water, and begin to simulate life on Mars.
