American study visa processing process

There are five main points in the application process for studying abroad visa in the United States.

Fill in the form DS- 160. Note that all questions in the DS- 160 form must be answered in English, except that the full names are filled in English (Pinyin) and Chinese as required (China is marked as "mother tongue" in the form).

Pay SEVIS fee

Pay the SEVIS fee. Sevis's fee is the cost of maintaining this system, which is currently $200. In addition, remember to bring the SEVIS payment receipt when you go to the embassy or consulate for a face-to-face interview. I-20 form, passport number and dual-currency credit card are needed to pay this fee.

Pay visa application fee

Pay the visa application fee. There are two ways to pay the application fee: one is to use the debit card account of CITIC Bank directly online according to the tips on the payment page; Another way is for the applicant to pay at the ATM of CITIC Bank outlets with his passport, CITIC Bank debit card and printed visa bill, and only at the self-service counter. If he doesn't have a CITIC Bank debit card, he can bring his ID card to handle it on the spot.

Interview. In face-to-face interview, you need to bring DS- 160 form, valid passport, electronic ID photo taken in the last six months, I-20 form, interview appointment form, SEVIS(I-90 1) payment receipt, school admission notice, school report card, standardized test report card, household registration book, ID card, proof of funds and proof of parents' income.
