How to apply for Dutch nationality
1. I have been holding a valid residence permit since I was born in the Netherlands, or since I was allowed to enter the Netherlands, that is, I applied for an extension every time before the residence permit expired.
2. Have lived legally in the Netherlands for more than 5 years, or have been married or cohabited with Dutch citizens for more than 3 years.
3. The residence permit you have must be a long-term residence permit such as family reunion and paid work, while short-term residence permits such as study and medical care are not allowed to apply for naturalization.
4. I have fully met the conditions for integrating into Dutch society and have the ability to listen and speak Dutch.
5. No record of being sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment, reeducation through labor, social service or a large fine in the past four years.
Note: It should be noted that if you are in the Netherlands when you apply for naturalization, you can submit your application to the local city hall. If you are outside the Netherlands, you should apply to the Dutch consulate abroad.
