Where is wudongde hydropower station?

Wudongde hydropower station is located on the main stream of Jinsha River at the junction of Luquan County, Yunnan Province and Huidong County, Sichuan Province.

It is planned that the first batch of units will generate electricity in August 2020, and all units will be put into production in February 20021year.

Wudongde hydropower station construction process:

In 1950s, wudongde hydropower station started the preliminary exploration work.

On March 20 16 17, wudongde hydropower station Dam was concreted.

On February 13, 2020, the rotor of Unit 5 of wudongde hydropower station Left Bank Underground Power Station was successfully hoisted. On February 16, the rotor of the fourth hydro-generator set was successfully hoisted. At this point, four units in wudongde hydropower station entered the final assembly stage.

On May 4, 2020, the pouring of the last dam section of wudongde hydropower station Dam was completed, and the main dam project 15 dam section was poured to the top of the dam, with a total concrete pouring volume of about 2.7 million cubic meters.
