The closing movement of 1868 started the Meiji Restoration. This was the background of the late Qing Dynasty, which lasted for 72 years until the founding of the Republic of China.

Japan's modern times originated from the invasion of the United States in 1853, which opened the beginning of modernization. This robber logic, after all, intensified domestic contradictions, put the Millennium Tokugawa era in jeopardy and declared bankruptcy. Without the United States, the ending movement could not be launched. Without the Opium War, there would be no Taiping Heavenly Kingdom.

Japan embarked on a nearly peaceful journey of Meiji Restoration, becoming a powerful country and entering the top six in the world. Fourteen years of war in southern China, 100 million people died, accounting for about half of the population in the south.

So this is a historical division. China and Japan were originally on the same starting line. But after decades, it has reached a high judgment and the gap is obvious. The Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895 was the watershed between China and Japan, and also the dividing line of the historical pattern of the East. One moment, "the advantage lies in me" (Chiang Kai-shek said), and the next moment, everything is lost.

From this moment on, Japanese power is inferior to that of China. Forty years later, War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression can still fight a protracted war and drag the Japanese into a deadlock. Moreover, the gap between the Great Qing Dynasty with a million troops a hundred years ago and Japan with only 250,000 troops is obvious. It's just that the will to fight is not good, the rulers are too corrupt, and man-made rather than objective factors have cast a defeat.

Just like before 1884, veteran soldiers suppressed the governor of Guangxi in the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom. Feng Zicai, who was retired at home at that time and was in his seventies, went into battle and even defeated the arrogant French army. Relying on mountains and rivers is also the advantage of home games, and there are many people. However, it won after all, swept away the haze and made the people proud. The Qing government cherished this hard-won opportunity for peace and quickly stopped fighting, which directly angered the veteran Zuo who recovered Xinjiang at a disadvantage. The old man can't move. There is no shortage of talents in China.

If Zuo won the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895, you must have a positive attitude, just as Zuo did not hesitate to use high loans from western powers to raise funds to fight Agubai in Xinjiang. He is strategically located, advancing slowly, and breaking fast. He has a proper strategy, grasps the key points, knows himself and himself, and does not fight unprepared wars.

Li Hongzhang, who betrayed the country and made mistakes, was not wronged by Zuo. At least, he is corrupt. Zuo does not have this bad habit. He has never left home, and he is honest and worthy of being a model. He just missed it in the Times and didn't continue to make suggestions. "Lian Po is too old to eat?" After all, Zhao Kuo, a decent child, has misjudged the country. She said, "My son YiWen Zhao is an armchair strategist, but the prince of Zhao doesn't believe me. He entrusted the country to a man without humanity, and the country perished from then on. The Sino-Japanese War was the beginning of the Qing Dynasty.

Since then, the prestige of the government has begun to decline, and people's grievances have boiled again. The peaceful "Tongzhi Zhongxing" formed by the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom's suppression for decades came to an end, and the Westernization Movement was broken. Since then, Sun Yat-sen has embarked on the road of anti-Qing. Without Zhongshan, the Qing Dynasty would not perish. He was the father of the Republic of China and the grave digger of the Qing Dynasty.

1895, treaty of shimonoseki was signed, and the Guangzhou Uprising led by Sun Yat-sen started. He was only 29 years old and fell short. Since then, he has been in exile until he returned to China as the president of the Republic of China after the Revolution of 1911.

The Sino-Japanese War sounded the death knell of the Qing Dynasty.

If the Sino-Japanese War continues, Japan will be defeated, just like Japan's invasion of China claimed to destroy China in three months, but it lasted for eight years because the people didn't swallow elephants enough.

Japan's financial and military strength has been exhausted and cannot be sustained. However, there are still millions of veterans in China. Although the fighting capacity is unbearable, it is better than the exhausted disabled teacher. This is the strength of many people. But the Qing government made peace again.

If the minister objects and raises an objection, it is invalid. Cixi has the final say. Li Hongzhang is a scapegoat and an executor. Just like the death of Ryukyu, the Japanese army attacked Taiwan Province Province, and the Qing government ignored repeated requests for reinforcements and made peace and abandoned Ryukyu.

Forty years later, the gap between weapons and national strength in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression is too obvious, which has caused tens of millions of casualties. This time, the west said that if adults and children fight, planes, tanks, millet and rifles will add at most a light machine gun, and the strength is very different.
