Can I immigrate to Thailand to buy a house?

First of all, buying a house in Thailand does not require immigration. Thai houses are permanent property rights, and there is no property tax and inheritance tax. As a foreigner, you can't buy a single-family villa, only an apartment. The land ownership of such apartments belongs to the Thai government, and individuals only enjoy permanent property rights.

Secondly, if you buy a house in Thailand, you can't just immigrate to Thailand. Because Thailand is not an immigrant country, immigration procedures are very troublesome. And buying a house in Thailand has nothing to do with a visa. Thailand, a non-immigrant country, cannot immigrate even if it buys a house, nor can it enjoy any special treatment because it has obtained a long-term visa.
