Where is the Hakka dialect?

Hakka dialect is a dialect in eastern Guangdong, western Fujian and southern Jiangxi.

Hakka dialect is the mother tongue of Han Hakkas (including Hakka in eastern Guangdong, Shui Yuan in Dongjiang, Cantonese in western Guangdong-southern Guangxi and Cantonese in Sichuan), which is mainly distributed in eastern Guangdong, western Fujian and southwestern Jiangxi, and is widely used in some Chinese communities in southern China (including Taiwan Province Province) and Malaysia.

Hakka dialect is widely distributed in the southeast coast of China, southern and western provinces, northern Hong Kong New Territories, Taiwan Province Province and overseas Hakka immigrant areas, such as Mauritius, Indonesia and Malaysia. However, due to the lack of large-scale popular culture, the popularity of Hakka in northern China is far less than that of Cantonese and Minnan.

Brief introduction of Gannan

Gannan, the geographical abbreviation of southern Jiangxi Province, is mainly composed of three municipal districts, 13 counties and two county-level cities under the jurisdiction of prefecture-level Ganzhou City. The total area of Gannan is 39,379.64 square kilometers, accounting for about a quarter of the total area of Jiangxi Province. In 20 19, the registered population was 9,830,700, and the permanent population was 8,708,000, accounting for about one fifth of the population of Jiangxi province.

Gannan has a long history of administrative divisions. In the fifth year of Wu Jiahe in the Three Kingdoms (236), Dewey, a municipal administrative organization, was established in the south of Luling. The Song Dynasty was divided into two administrative regions, Nan 'an and Ganzhou, referred to as "Gannan". Because it is located in the upper reaches of Ganjiang River and the south of Jiangxi Province, Gannan Road and Gannan Road were set up in the Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty and the early years of the Republic of China, also known as "Gannan".
