Basic situation of Yanghou town

The original provincial highway 309 (also known as Nangu Line) runs through the whole territory, 62 kilometers away from Nanping City and 0/80 kilometers away from Fuzhou, the provincial capital.

Yanghou Town governs 18 administrative villages, 55 natural villages and 75 villagers' groups, with a total population of12,638, including 679 non-agricultural people and1/789 agricultural people. Most of the residents are Han nationality, a few are She nationality, most belong to Jian 'ou language family, and some villages belong to central Fujian. The total area of the town is 103.3 square kilometers, with an average elevation of 290 meters, annual rainfall of 1700 mm and frost-free period of more than 330 days, which belongs to subtropical monsoon climate.
