You don't need to apply for a Mexican visa if you meet any of the following two conditions:

1) Hold one of valid American visa, Canadian visa, British visa, Japanese visa and any Schengen country visa;

2) Have permanent residency in Colombia, Chile or Peru;

In the above cases, you can enter Mexico without a visa for no more than 180 days (for the purpose of tourism). If the above conditions are not met, you need to apply for a visa in advance. The materials required to apply for a tourist visa in Mexico are:
