Fujian has planned several pumped storage power stations.

Four. The four pumped storage power stations under construction in Fujian, namely Zhouning, Yongtai, Xiazhang and Xiao Yun, together with the completed Xianyou pumped storage power station, have a total installed capacity of 6.8 million kilowatts. Hydropower stations that can pump energy to the upper reservoir are generally used for peak regulation, frequency modulation, phase modulation and emergency standby of power grids.
