Emperor Qianlong married a Korean woman, Princess Shujia.

In the Qing Dynasty, especially in the early Qing Dynasty, there were many Koreans in our country. Some of them had conflicts with the rulers of Korea at that time, and some of them defected to the Qing Dynasty; some were voluntary; some were prisoners of war. ;Some are immigrants.

The "Eight Banners Manchu Clan Genealogy" compiled by the imperial edict of the ninth year of Qianlong's reign records 43 surnames of Koreans in Manchuria. Jin, Han, Li, and Pu are the most popular, among which Jin and Han are the famous. The noble concubine of the Shu family was named Jin, and her ancestor Jin Xindali was a native of Yizhou, Korea. In the first year of Tiancong's reign, his family voluntarily joined the Qing Dynasty and was later merged into the Tufu territory of the Manchu Qing Dynasty.

The ancestors of Concubine Shu made important contributions to the development and prosperity of the Qing Dynasty and were promoted to leaders of the Qing Dynasty. Concubine Shu's father was a court official, and her brother Jin Jian was an official of the Qianlong Dynasty.

The noble concubine of Shu was born on July 25, the fifty-second year of Kangxi. Before Emperor Qianlong came to the throne, he was already a concubine. After Qianlong ascended the throne, he was first named a nobleman. By the 20th year of Qianlong's reign, he had been promoted to Concubine Jia.

The Jin family gave birth to fourth princes for Qianlong, which was extremely rare among concubines in the Qing Dynasty. Three of the four princes grew up, one became a county king and two became princes. Among them, the eleventh brother, Yongxun, was a famous calligrapher in the Qianlong Dynasty. In the royal family with many concubines, Jin gave birth to the fourth prince, and her status naturally rose sharply. This shows that she was very favored by Qianlong.

In 1755, Concubine Shujia died of illness at the age of 43. At that time, she was still in the position of concubine. After her death, she was promoted to the imperial concubine and given the title Shujia. She was buried in Yuling in the 22nd year of Qianlong's reign.

Because Shu Jia’s concubine had a prominent status and was favored by the emperor, her family members followed suit. His elder brothers Jin Jian and Hui Jin have successful careers. In March of the fourth year of Jiaqing, Emperor Jiaqing moved his family from Huangzheng Banner to Huangzheng Banner in Manchuria, becoming the Shangsan Banner, and gave him the surname "Jin Jiashi" to show his love for his family.

Concubine Shu was the only Korean woman among the concubines of Emperor Qianlong and the only Korean concubine in the Qing Dynasty. In 1928, during the Dongling Catastrophe, Concubine Shu was not spared. The coffin was destroyed and all traces of the body were destroyed, with all limbs missing. When he was reburied in August 1928, he was buried in the same coffin as Emperor Qianlong's body.
