Irish investment immigrants will not accept new applications after the working hours on February 15, 2023; Approved projects and investors are not affected; Applicants who have already submitted will not be affected to continue the experiment; Approved projects that have not recruited full investors can continue to recruit new investors and set a three-month buffer period; There is also a three-month buffer period for new projects that have communicated with the Immigration Bureau and made significant progress but have not yet been submitted; In the fund investment category, if the minimum financing amount (20 million euros) is not reached, there will be a three-month buffer period.

Specific policies:

Existing projects: the proposal to close IIP will not affect existing projects that have been approved under the plan. Existing approved projects will also continue to be able to find any new investors needed to complete the financing of approved projects. The Ministry of Justice will continue to supervise the project delivery and compliance of all existing (approved) projects. The project approved by the minister is expected to be completed as soon as possible, no later than the time frame specified in its business plan. The Minister may grant a short extension at his discretion. The IIP department will contact the project to solve any specific problems highlighted in the early stage.

Applications submitted at present: For the pending decision of IIP applications submitted by the Ministry of Justice at the end of the working day on February 6, 2023 (5438+05), these applications may be related to previously approved projects or newly submitted new projects, in which the evaluation committee postponed the decision to further consider some matters. At present, about 1 1,500 applications have been submitted.

Pending applications: In addition, there are still some projects that have not been formally submitted, but significant progress has been made after contacting the IIP Department of the Ministry of Justice. It is suggested that three months be provided for such projects to complete and submit applications. Otherwise, IIP plans to stop accepting new applications after the end of February 15, 2023.
