Introduction:

Yumen City, Gansu Province is a city born of oil and abandoned by oil. China's first oil city was born here, and the oil fields here once supported China's oil industry. In 2003, workers in the oil industry moved to Jiuquan and Hami due to the shutdown of oil wells.

The residence of Yumen Municipal Government also began to move to Yumen Town, 80 kilometers west, and 90,000 citizens abandoned the city and moved out. Artists Xu Ruotao, Huang Xiang and Shi Jiepeng, a doctor of anthropology from the United States, came to this legendary "ghost town".
