In 1978, after she learned about the enrollment of Beijing Film Academy and Central Academy of Drama, she traveled all the way from Nanjing to Beijing to take the exam. She originally wanted to give it a try, but she received admission notices from two colleges at the same time. In the end, she chose Beijing Film Academy. From then on, her film career began.
