Brief introduction of Changtan reservoir

Changtan Reservoir is located in the upper reaches of Yongning River, 23 kilometers away from Taizhou City. It is a large-scale water conservancy project focusing on irrigation, flood control and power generation. Surrounded by green hills, the reservoir is a scenic spot.

Changtan Reservoir started construction in June 1958, benefited from irrigation in June 1962, and was completed in June 1964. By 200 1, the reservoir has been in operation for nearly 40 years, and there are some problems in the project, such as low flood control standard, unsafe dam seepage control system, serious cracks in spillway tunnel, and landslides on both sides of spillway threatening flood discharge safety. In 2002, Zhejiang Provincial Water Resources Department approved the reinforcement of the reservoir. The project started in June 2002, and the main project was successfully completed on June 30, 2004 (it passed the phased water storage acceptance in June 2004), and it passed the completion acceptance in March 2005. At present, the normal water level of the reservoir is 36. 05m (the 85th national elevation datum, the same below), with a corresponding storage capacity of 457 million cubic meters and a population migration line of 38. 05m, and the land requisition line is 36. The minimum water level for design operation control is 16. The corresponding storage capacity is 1.89 billion cubic meters.

The reservoir hub project is a secondary project, and the main project consists of dam, power generation tunnel, flood discharge tunnel, water supply tunnel, flood discharge sluice, hydropower station and tailrace main canal. The Da (2) Reservoir in the middle reaches of the Grottoes River, also known as Changtan, is located in Jiaoling County, Guangdong Province, and its dam site is 6 kilometers away from Jiaoling County.

Reservoir is an important water conservancy project with power generation as the main function, flood control, irrigation and shipping. It is one of the first development projects in Hanjiang River Basin. The upstream control basin area of the dam site is 1990 square kilometers, with a total storage capacity of 65438+72 million cubic meters. 1978 started construction, and 1987 was completed and put into operation.

The hub project consists of dam, spillway, power station, wharf, etc. The dam is an open gravity dam with a maximum dam height of 7 1.3m and a total dam crest length of 2 10m. The spillway is located in the middle of the dam section, with a maximum flood discharge of 2880 cubic meters per second; The power station is equipped with 4 sets, with an installed capacity of 60,000 kilowatts and an annual power generation of about 654.38+55 million kWh. There are barge docks upstream and downstream of the dam, and the road to the reservoir is arranged on the left bank of the dam, which is combined with the barge road passing through the dam.

Since the completion of the reservoir, the benefits have been remarkable: first, the downstream coastline of the dike has been protected for 68 kilometers, and the population has been protected for about 6.5438+0.5 million. In 1990, 1993 and 2000, there was a general rainstorm in the upper reaches of the dam, and the peak flow reached once every 20 years to once every 30 years. However, after adjusting the section of the reservoir and reducing the flood peak, the pressure of the flood on the downstream was alleviated. 2. The reservoir is the main water supply source in Changtan Irrigation District, with a designed irrigation area of 3,386 hectares. After the reservoir operation, the irrigation guarantee rate along the east-west trunk line in the lower reaches of Changtan and the production water of other industrial and mining enterprises have been effectively improved; Third, the annual power generation of the power station is about 65.438+0.55 billion kWh, which has greatly alleviated the industrial electricity consumption in the surrounding areas; Fourthly, the reservoir is built in the famous Changtan tourist area, and the towering dam adds a beautiful scenery to the tourist area.

The total area of the reservoir area is 6,238.9 hectares, including 5,585.7 hectares of woodland and 653.2 hectares of water, all within the scope of Changtan Provincial Nature Reserve. This reserve is rich in animal and plant resources. According to incomplete statistics, there are vascular plants 1092 species in plant resources, including 6 species of Cycas, Golden Hairy, Alsophila spinulosa, which are national first-class protected wild plants. Animal resources There are 264 species of wild animals, including clouded leopard, python, pangolin, mountain monkey and other national first-and second-class protected wild animals 3 1 species. Every year from September to June, 5438+ 10, thousands of egrets hover in the reservoir area.
