I want to prepare for my future work abroad. I don't know whether to take BEC or TOEFL, IELTS or TOEFL.

It depends on what you do and which country you are going to.

BEC is highly recognized in China, and it is a cooperative examination between Cambridge University and China. And it is limited to business English.

IELTS and TOEFL are both language tests, not designed for studying abroad. IELTS is a Commonwealth test and TOEFL is an American test.

IELTS is divided into Class A (academic) and Class G (immigration, work).

Toe and TOEFL are a family, both of which are ETS exams in the United States. Compared with ToeFL, TOE pays more attention to work than to academics. But so far, only Japan and South Korea have high recognition of this exam.
