Application process

(1) The applicant submits application materials to the exit and entry management department of the public security organ at or above the county level entrusted by the National Immigration Administration and collects fingerprint information in accordance with regulations;

(2) The acceptance agency will issue an "Application Acceptance Receipt" to the applicant if the application conditions are met, the application materials are complete and in legal form; if the application materials are incomplete or do not comply with the legal form, the applicant will be notified once All content that needs to be supplemented and corrected; applications that do not fall within the scope of the department’s responsibilities or do not meet the acceptance requirements will not be accepted and the reasons will be explained to the applicant.

(3) The examination and approval agency shall conduct the review and make a decision of approval or disapproval. If the application is disapproved, the examination and approval agency shall issue a "Decision Letter of Disapproval" to the applicant.

(4) The applicant receives the pass.

Processing time limit

1. Local household registration: within 7 working days.

2. Non-local household registration: within 20 days.
