Imi was born in Bratislava in 191. He is a famous police officer and fighter. From an early age, Imi showed great athletic talent, achieved great accomplishments in wrestling, boxing and other fields, and won many awards. When anti-Semitic activities swept his hometown, Imi and his family were forced to emigrate to Israel (then Palestine).

In the mid-193s, anti-Semitic activities were unprecedentedly fierce. In order to protect the local Jewish residents, Imi led a team of boxers and wrestlers to fight bravely. After many street struggles, Imi soon realized that competitive sports can only play a limited role in real street fighting, and he could start to create a fighting system that can effectively defend when his life is threatened.

Imi's superb fighting ability was unanimously recognized by early Israeli leaders, and in 1944 he began to train Israeli soldiers, including quality training, swimming, wrestling, daggers and other attacks and defenses. During this period, Imi participated in training a large number of Jewish armed forces, including Hagana, Palmach and police officers. After the founding of Israel in 1948, the Israel Defense Federation, IDF) was formally established, and Imi was hired as the chief executive officer of IDF. In more than 2 years of service for IDF, Imi has been committed to the improvement of Majia.

In p>1964, Imi retired from IDF and began to improve the military Ma Jia technique so that people could learn and use it. The purpose of its improvement is to form a self-help system that is suitable for all kinds of people and can quickly complete self-help with minimal injury when being attacked or threatened. According to the purpose of this improvement and the crowd-oriented, the Ma Jia technique is called civil Ma Jia technique.

In p>1972, Imi developed the first set of civil Ma Jia technique. According to the change of people-oriented and technical purpose-from trained soldiers to ordinary people for self-defense, the technology has changed from the combination of various instruments to unarmed defense and daily defense.

In p>1978, Imi founded Aguda, a non-profit organization, which was officially named Israel Kravmaga Association (IKMA) in 198, that is, Israeli Majia Association. Before 198, all Ma Jiashu coaches in Israel were trained in IKMA. In 1981, a six-member group of civilian coaches went to the United States and began to promote Ma Jiashu in the United States, which was also the source of the United States.

In p>1985, Imi established training centers in Tel Aviv and Netanya respectively, and began to train Ma Jiashu instructors (approved by Imi himself and the Israeli Ministry of Education) to better spread self-defense techniques to the public.

in p>1996, in order to meet the demand of internationalization, when Israeli fighting began to spread around the world, IMI entrusted four of his closest students (including Avi Moyal, the current chairman of IKMF) to set up a new organization, the International Krav Maga Federation (IKMF), which was officially recognized by the Israeli government and was mainly responsible for the global promotion of Majia.

Imi has devoted his whole life to the improvement and spread of Ma Jiashu, and his great personality charm and unique excellent quality have been deeply infecting and promoting his students. Imi, a great fighting instructor, died in 1998 at the age of 88.
