Mr. Chen Yongtao started his own business in Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Canada in 2000. In 2007, he established the Canadian Gemdale Enterprise Group overseas and served as the chairman of the board of directors. In 2012, he devoted himself to the economic construction of Canada and China. He is enthusiastic about public welfare, often participates in various charity activities in the host country and the motherland, actively participates in the activities of overseas Chinese associations, has long been committed to the public affairs of Chinese associations, helps safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of overseas Chinese, and is widely supported by overseas Chinese. Enthusiastic about social welfare undertakings. According to incomplete statistics, from 2001 to 2013, Mr. Chen’s domestic charitable donations totaled more than 6.6 million yuan. These mainly include: donating 500,000 yuan to the Hefei Project Hope Office; donating a total of 410,000 yuan to primary and secondary schools in Tongcheng City; donating 30,000 yuan to the construction of Dongwei Martyrs Cemetery in Zhuwan Town in Dingyuan County, relocating the remains of New Fourth Army martyrs, and helping The project was successfully completed; a total of more than 1.87 million yuan was donated to the Wenchuan earthquake; 50,000 yuan was donated to the Ya'an earthquake and other donation projects.

Form an overseas Chinese delegation to serve overseas Chinese. Since Mr. Chen Yongtao served as the Honorary Chairman of the Federation of Canadian Chinese Societies, he has adhered to the mission of "unity, mutual assistance, dedication, and rejuvenation of the country." Since the establishment of an overseas Chinese group to raise funds for Wenchuan in 2008, it has continued to grow and develop, and now has 101 societies. The Overseas Chinese League covers more than 200,000 overseas Chinese. Although the Canadian Federation of Chinese Societies is a relatively young society, it supports local and domestic public welfare undertakings, continuously promotes the construction of a harmonious overseas Chinese community, actively promotes Chinese culture, and has done a lot of positive work to promote economic, trade and cultural exchanges between China and Canada.
