/kloc-Children under the age of 0/4 do not need to go to the consulate to apply for a non-immigrant visa in person, and the consulate does not advise parents or guardians to take their children to the consulate to apply for a non-immigrant visa.

Children under the age of 14 who have obtained non-immigrant visas in the United States can use the face-to-face delivery service.

2./kloc-children under 0/4 apply for the first time.

Children under 14 can't use the face-to-face service when applying for a US visa for the first time. An adult should interview children on his behalf.

A. If the child applies independently, one of the parents or guardians should make an appointment for an interview in the child's name and come to the interview in person on behalf of the child (the child should not attend the interview). Only one of the parents or guardians can conduct the interview on behalf of the child. Parents or guardians should bring their ID cards, children's passports and birth certificates, and fill in a complete application form.

B. If parents or guardians and children under 14 apply for visas at the same time, they can make an appointment for an interview in their own names and apply for a visa interview with their children together with the application materials, without making an appointment for the children separately. Again, children should not attend the interview.
