Can Chinese people work in Vietnam with a residence permit?

According to Vietnamese immigration laws, foreigners need to obtain a work permit or labor contract to work in Vietnam. In addition, according to Vietnamese labor laws, non-Vietnamese foreigners need to have a valid work visa to engage in any work in Vietnam. The Chinese residence permit only proves that it is a valid identity document in China and cannot be used to work in Vietnam.

The Vietnam work permit is a document issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Vietnam, allowing its holder to work legally in Vietnam. It can only be applied for by the employer company of foreign workers in Vietnam.
