A brief introduction to Barbara

In the German Democratic Republic of 1980, a female doctor named Barbara is planning to emigrate overseas-there is no doubt that the country she is going to is the Federal Republic of Germany, that is, West Germany. Because of this idea, she was punished by the local government and was "decentralized" from the hospital in the capital to the rural health center. And her lover in West Germany is helping her plan to leave East Germany from the Baltic Sea. Now Barbara can only wait slowly. After coming to this small town, Barbara made many new friends and got a new house. But obviously, Barbara's life center of gravity is not here. Even if the people in the town are friendly, it still doesn't make Barbara feel at ease to work here. She deliberately kept her distance from her new colleagues, because in her mind, her life would not begin until she arrived in West Germany.

Andre (Ronald Zehrfeld played by Ronald Zehrfeld), a male colleague in the hospital, cares for Barbara in every possible way, and Barbara's long-term relationship with Andre, who is considerate, ignites an ambiguous spark. Can this melt her closed heart? As the day of eloping with her lover approached, her heart began to shake and she didn't know whether she should run away for love. Will she choose physical freedom or spiritual sustenance?
