Lutong ancestral home
In 835 AD, the "Ganlu Change" occurred in Chang 'an, and Lutong was implicated. Jia Dao, his good friend, once wrote in the poem "Crying for Lutong": "It is abandonment to have friends in Chang 'an. "That is to say, before Lu Tong's execution, friends from Chang 'an went to see him off, and Lu Tong entrusted friends to look after the children.
According to Lu Heping, the 47th generation descendant of Lutong, his descendants smuggled Lutong's bones back to Jiyuan for burial, and later worried about being implicated. After Lu Tong was buried, the family moved south. After that, Lutong disappeared in his hometown for hundreds of years.
The old man took out the ancestral "Lu Family Tree" and showed that after the Lu family moved south, it was divided into two factions, one settled in Jiangnan and the other returned to Jiyuan in the Ming Dynasty.
According to the Lu Family Tree, "the ancestor Lu Gong was born in Shilipu, Hongdong, Shanxi. In the early years of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty, Huaifu washed the county and the countryside was deserted. In 32 years, the displaced people returned to their homes. My ancestor Botong missed his ancestors and looked forward to his hometown. He took his four sons: Dagong, Ergong, * *, Sigong and Di Boyuan, and returned to his hometown of Wushantou Village, Yuchuan Township, Jiyi. When moving for the first time, the second generation grandfathers were reluctant. Grandfathers told them: My benefactor Tang Xianquan is also from Yuchuan. Both sons and nephews are happy to build temples. "
After several changes from the Tang Dynasty to the Ming Dynasty, Jiyuan people gradually forgot this "tea fairy", and Lu Tong's tomb was also submerged in many civilian tombs. No one in the countryside thought that this was once the place where a generation of tea ceremony masters were born and buried, except for the descendants of Lu.
It was not until the Qing Dynasty that the reputation of Lutong's hometown was remembered again. At the head of Li Si village, there is a stone tablet with the words "hometown of Lutong" written on it. On both sides of the stone tablet, there are two lines of small print: "The poems of gifted scholars shine with the sun and the moon, and the wild grass strives for beauty." This stone tablet was erected in the late Qing Dynasty and was inscribed by Liu Maiyuan, then the Taoist priest of Guangdong Province.
According to the Records of Jiyuan County, Liu Maiyuan likes drinking tea all his life. One year, he went back to his hometown Jiyuan to visit relatives and wanted to visit Lutong. When he asked the local gentry and Lushi descendants where Lu Tong's tomb was, he replied that the tomb had been leveled and the inscription could not be found. Liu Maiyuan was furious: "The world still respects the sage Lutong. You are a descendant, but you don't respect your ancestors. It is really disrespectful and unreasonable. "
So Liu Maiyuan wrote the words "Lutong's hometown" and left. The local gentry carved Liu Maiyuan's Mo Bao into a stone tablet and stood at the head of the village to rebuild the mausoleum for Lu Tong. Since then, the name "Lutong's hometown" has emerged from the fog of history.
