Tonglin Town has a subtropical monsoon climate, with no severe cold in winter, no intense heat in summer and abundant rainfall. The annual average temperature is 65438 05.4℃. 3 10 provincial highway runs through the whole territory, and the flow of Liudong River, Qiongshui River and Tandong River is slow. The whole town is a multi-ethnic township with Dong people as the main body and Han, Miao and Tu people living together. The whole town covers an area of 133.54 square kilometers, and the cultivated land area is1212 mu, including 7942 mu of fields and 3270 mu of soil. Rich in rice, corn, virus-free potatoes, peanuts and other crops, as well as Qiu Jin pears, peppers, flue-cured tobacco, medicinal materials and other cash crops, with more than 4,000 acres of Qiu Jin pear base. In recent years, the aquaculture industry has developed rapidly, and a large number of chicken, duck, sheep and livestock farmers and 35 township enterprises have emerged, which has injected a strong impetus into the sustainable economic development of this town. Tonglin Town is rich in mineral resources, especially silicon mine, which involves Xinchang and Banxi Village and has high mining value, including Muliang Power Station and a 35KV substation. The forest coverage rate is 58%. All the 20 villages under the jurisdiction of the town have access roads, and every village has electricity, and the TV coverage rate is over 85%. It not only facilitates the production of the masses, but also enriches their amateur cultural life.

Tonglin Town is the second largest material distribution center in the county. Every time there is a market, the streets are full of traffic and a busy scene. People can not only enjoy the simple folk custom of June 6th, but also enjoy the beautiful Buddhist holy land of Shengde Mountain.

In recent years, with the concern of the town party committee and government, the education in Tonglin town has made great progress, the teaching quality has been obviously improved, the enrollment rate has increased year by year, and all the indicators are among the best in the county.
