Will Ukraine participate in the Hangzhou Asian Games?

Ukraine will not participate in the Hangzhou Asian Games.

Countries participating in the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games include China, China Taipei, China, South Korea, Japan, North Korea, Singapore, India, Vietnam, Myanmar, Nepal, United Arab Emirates, Mongolia, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Iran, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Indonesia, Indonesia, Kuwait, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

It is understood that countries that do not participate in the Asian Games at present include Lebanon, Cambodia, Turkey and other countries. In addition, due to the tension between Russia and Ukraine, local athletes were banned, so some Russian athletes changed their nationality in order to participate in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

Building venues for the Hangzhou Asian Games;

There are 56 competition venues in Hangzhou Asian Games and Asian Para Games, which are located in Hangzhou, Ningbo, Wenzhou, Huzhou, Shaoxing and Jinhua according to the principle of "Hangzhou main venue is shared by the whole province". Among them, there are 0/2 new venues/KLOC-0, 26 rebuilt venues, 9 continued venues and 9 temporary venues. There are also 3 1 training venues, 1 Asian Games Village and 4 Asian Games Villages (athletes' villages).

The construction of venues adheres to the concept of "green, intelligent, thrifty and civilized" to ensure that the requirements of the games are met, promote urban construction, display the image of the city and serve the citizens. On September 16, 2023, at the opening ceremony of the Asian Games Village in Hangzhou 19 and the welcoming ceremony of the China sports delegation, the Asian Games Village in Hangzhou was officially opened with the sound of gongs and drums, which marked the simultaneous opening of the Asian Games Village, five Asian Games Villages and three athletes' accommodation hotels.
