What are the rules for going abroad?

Persons who have been approved to work, study or settle abroad for more than one year must apply for the International Travel Health Certificate and the International Vaccination Certificate (referred to as the "Yellow Book") at the designated health and quarantine organ or hospital. However, different countries have different physical examination requirements for student visas, and studying in the UK does not require a physical examination. Australia/Canada/New Zealand apply for a student visa to go to a designated hospital for medical examination. Studying in the United States is different according to the different requirements of the school. The purpose of physical examination of applicants in designated hospitals in various countries is to ensure that applicants will not cause harm to public health; The applicant will not become a burden to medical service institutions; Suitable for beginners.

Anyone who goes to any clinic for blood test and tests five indicators of hepatitis B, even if you are only positive for S antigen (surface antigen), the doctor must inform the health department of the state (or territory) where you are located, and then you will receive a letter from the government health department one or two months later, reminding you that you are already a hepatitis B carrier, and it is best to go to the hospital for examination every three months. But that doesn't mean they care about hepatitis B, it just means that the federal government cares about its subjects.

During the medical examination of skilled immigrants, they also don't care about hepatitis B. Except for pregnant women who are not exempted from hepatitis B examination, most other medical examiners will not check it, but if the medical examiner thinks it is necessary for you to do it, you must obey it. And even if you are unfortunate enough to meet such an unlucky doctor and help you find out hepatitis B, it will not affect your immigration application. At most, you will be asked to go to the Ministry of Health for a routine physical examination.

Purpose of physical examination

Going abroad for medical examination is first and foremost the request of the sending party. As the first national normative document, the State Council 1986 forwarded the Interim Provisions of the State Education Commission on Overseas Students, which listed physical health, politics, business and foreign languages as the basic conditions for public overseas students. It is stipulated that "the health status of all kinds of students studying abroad must meet the prescribed standards for studying abroad, pass the examination in provincial and municipal hospitals and obtain a health certificate (the certificate is valid for one year)".

Secondly, the requirements of the recipient. Foreign schools generally regard physical health as the basic condition for accepting international students. For example, in the United States, Japan, Britain, Austria, Italy and other countries, the physical health certificate or physical examination form is one of the necessary materials in the materials submitted for studying abroad. Some countries, such as Japan, Italy and Ireland, are visiting scholars, but if they are included in bilateral exchange programs, they also need to provide health certificates or medical examination forms. So, if you plan to study in these countries, of course, you need to go to the hospital for physical examination. Physical examination is generally routine at this time. Some forms are provided by receiving schools, some are formulated by the national education authorities, and some can be commonly used physical examination forms in China. The hospitals to be inspected are generally not specified, as long as they have a considerable level, and generally the lowest is a county-level hospital.

International students studying abroad do not need to apply for visas, except in some countries. Most countries need to apply for an entry visa to embassies and consulates in China in advance. Visa is the most effective way to control the entry of patients with the above diseases. Therefore, many countries stipulate that in addition to the admission notice or invitation letter, financial aid certificate, you also need a medical certificate to apply for a visa. For example, France, Germany, South American countries, Russia and Eastern European countries all have this requirement for self-funded international students. Canada, New Zealand and Australia, whether at public expense or at their own expense. Although some countries do not require it, there are related columns in visa application forms, requiring applicants to declare themselves. For example, Table 34 of US Non-immigrant Visa Application 156 asks: Are you suffering from infectious diseases, mental illness, drug abuse or substance abuse? The applicant should assure the visa officer that he will give a realistic answer. Quarantine involves infectious diseases and vaccination.

The first quarantinable infectious diseases in the world are plague, cholera, smallpox and yellow fever. These four diseases are infectious diseases that will do great harm to human beings. Later, the World Health Organization announced that smallpox had been basically controlled worldwide since 1980, so now it is generally unnecessary to prove smallpox prevention. However, some countries still need this certificate. The most common diseases now are yellow fever and cholera. There are basically no cholera and yellow fever infections in Europe and North America. Some developing countries have poor sanitation and harsh climatic conditions, and many infectious diseases are still prevalent, such as Africa and South America. Tourists from these areas are required to show their yellow fever vaccination certificates from all over the world. Some countries in Asia are also epidemic areas of cholera and malaria. Different countries have different requirements for travelers from different countries. Judging from the current situation, international students who go to Europe, most Asian countries, North America and Oceania generally need cholera vaccination certificates, while international students who go to Africa, South America and individual Asian countries need at least two kinds of vaccines: yellow fever and cholera.

Vaccination is mainly carried out in accordance with the regulations of the International Health Organization and the requirements of the countries you go to. The vaccination programs of quarantine organs in China generally include cholera vaccine, yellow fever vaccine, adsorbed diphtheria and tetanus toxoid vaccine, hepatitis B epidemic bacteria, rabies vaccine, human gamma globulin, Japanese encephalitis vaccine, epidemic encephalomyelitis vaccine, typhoid and paratyphoid A and B triple vaccine, etc. What kind of vaccine international students need to be vaccinated is determined by the quarantine organ according to the requirements of various countries and the epidemic situation. International students who have stayed abroad for more than one year should go through the relevant formalities with the quarantine organ before going abroad.

Experience:

1, the physical examination time is relatively short, and it will be almost finished in one hour, but the vaccination places around 10 don't accept forms, so try to go early.

Because there are only skin tests on Monday and Tuesday. This skin test is about tuberculosis, which is required by some schools, such as Northwest China. The skin test takes 48 hours and 72 hours to go back for re-examination, so it is only done on Monday, Tuesday and Friday, and there is no physical examination on Friday. So I suggest you go to the physical examination on Monday or Tuesday morning.

2. If there is a school physical examination form, it should be checked according to the items required by the physical examination form, so the items of the physical examination form may be different from the standard items. For example, PPD or urine test is not in the standard items. If there is a requirement in your physical examination form, you should check it. It will be more expensive for them to fill out the physical examination form. If there is no physical examination form, don't worry, just check the required items.

3. Go on an empty stomach. Take pictures, or it will cost more to take pictures there. As soon as the photo is marked with the physical examination mark, another photo will be handed over to the staff in the hall together with various forms of physical examination. Don't forget to get the result receipt, otherwise the physical examination results will only be kept for one week, and the processed ones will have to be restarted.

It is best to arrange a medical examination after the visa.

5. The medical examination results can be collected by others.
