Macao's latest entry regulations

Macao is a famous modern tourist city. Recently, the international epidemic has become more severe, and the foreign epidemic has spread further. As an important tourist destination, Macao has imposed new restrictions and regulations on the entry of people from some countries and regions.

There are new measures for people from Germany, France, Spain and Japan to enter Macao.

The full text of the announcement is as follows:

From noon today to next Tuesday in Australia, immigrants who have been to Germany, France, Spain or Japan will receive physical examination and 14 days of isolated medical observation.

According to the novel coronavirus Infection Coordination Center, in view of the recent severe novel coronavirus infection in German, French, Spanish and Japanese, the Health Bureau, according to LawNo. 2/2004 Law on the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases requires that all immigrants who have been to Germany, France, Spain or Japan within March 8, 2004 12:00 must have a physical examination.

According to the requirements of article 14 of the same law of the Health Bureau, starting from March 10/2, 2008, all people who have been to the above-mentioned countries within 14 days before their entry must undergo medical observation at the designated place according to the requirements of the health authorities, so as to avoid Macao residents may receive medical observation at home when the health authorities deem it appropriate. Non-Macao residents should pay medical observation fees at designated hotels.

According to article 14 of the law, all immigrants who have been to Korea, Italy or Iran within 14 days before entry must undergo 14 days of medical observation at the designated place according to the requirements of the health authorities.

Novel coronavirus Infection Coordination Center reminds that violators may bear corresponding criminal responsibilities according to law and may be forced to be isolated.

In addition, the Tourism Crisis Office has informed Macao residents in relevant countries of the above measures, sent 173 SMS to Macao mobile phones in Japan, and is sending relevant SMS to Macao mobile phones in Germany, France and Spain.
