Wetland farmers' prose

Tianhe water flows into the river from Duck Bay, forming a wetland of more than 300 mu in a bay.

The wetland is full of reeds, fragrant buds, lobelia chinensis, peanuts and a large area of wild lotus roots. At the same time, it attracts a large number of waterfowl, such as thrush, kingfisher, waterfowl, bamboo chicken and so on. They not only regard this wetland as their habitat, but also regard it as their paradise. Waterbirds coiled in the waters among reeds all day long, followed by a group of chickens and ducks, got into reeds and fragrant bushes, looked for small fish, shrimps and insects, and flapped their wings happily. However, they have no choice but to watch bigger fish, such as mandarin fish, yellow croaker, bighead carp, carp and silver carp swimming freely in Shui Ze.

Birds are not afraid of farmers' houses around the wetland at all, let alone cats, dogs, cows and sheep fed by farmers. When they are full and tired of playing in the wetland, they will fly to the farm yard to visit the chickens, ducks and geese that haunt day and night. Such a visit makes waterfowl envy. Chickens and ducks are full outside, and they will be raised with millet and wheat when they come back. That day, gee, it was much more moist than us homeless wild birds!

Although the life of waterfowl is not as good as that of poultry, it is also very secure and happy all day long.

Later, I can't remember when. A group of wild ducks and egrets living in the Han River happened to find this paradise behind the sandbar. They flew into this wetland with friends and friends, and madly preyed on fish and shrimp in Shui Ze. Their arrival frightened the waterfowl and the little bamboo chicken. They hid in the bamboo forest and grass on the shore of Shui Ze, watched the invaders from a distance, and lived happily in their own homes.

Later, the birds found that the invaders were not only interested in fish and shrimp, but also did not offend other birds in the wetland in autumn. A large area of fish, shrimp and insects in Shui Ze is also constantly breeding, and the big birds can't finish eating and catching. So, they tried to get close to egrets and wild ducks, followed the big bird's ass and looked for their favorite shrimp and worms. Larger egrets and wild ducks don't dislike weak water finches, bamboo chickens, kingfishers and thrushes, and occasionally throw big fish caught from deep water onto the shore to share the victory with birds.

Egrets and wild ducks are not only familiar with birds, but also familiar with poultry and livestock of farmers around wetlands. Wetland farmers are kind people, and they are very kind to visiting egrets and wild ducks! From time to time, I will scoop some millet, wheat and corn grits and scatter them in the yard, watching them with a smile and pecking at the food on the ground with chickens and ducks.

The harmonious coexistence of people and birds in wetlands has gradually attracted some photographers who like photography. They came to this wetland from all directions, set up various cameras with tripods, and took waterfowl and wetland farmers into the cameras from a distance to form beautiful pictures. In the picture, waterfowl dance, smoke billows from the roof of the farmhouse, the fragrance of Tianhe wetland is overflowing against the blue sky and white clouds, and the swaying reeds, wild flowers and lotus flowers present a harmonious and quiet atmosphere.

There are more than 200 families around the wetland, and almost all of them are guardians of peace and harmony. They love waterfowl more than their own children. Except for the Spring Festival, they never have the heart to set off fireworks for fear that the noise of firecrackers will disturb the birds in the wetland.

On the southeast side of Tianhe Wetland, there used to be an old street about 100 meters long, and dozens of wetland families lived in the hatchback of the old street. Most of them make a living by fishing and selling sand. There are also a few farmers who vacate a room, open a small window on the street side of the room and set up a shelf inside. There are some daily necessities, such as oil, salt, sauce, vinegar, soap and matches, which come back from the county or provincial capital wholesale. If you earn a few cents a day, you will be satisfied. Obviously, they don't want to make money, just want to find a job for themselves, and also open a window for themselves to communicate with the outside world.

The scenery of the old street is primitive, wild and natural. After the start of the South-to-North Water Transfer Project, it has become a key water source construction area and a provincial wetland nature reserve. The original 100-meter old street was just below the water level of 173 meters, and some wetland families moved to Qianjiang as immigrants from the reservoir area. When the old street is demolished, the foundation is raised to the water level183m. With the input of the state, it was transformed into a new street with a length of 1 1,000 meters. There are more than 0/00 glazed tile-roofed two-story buildings in Ming and Qing dynasties, and more than 200 internal security immigrants have been placed in their homeland.

In the center of the immigrant village, there used to be an antique temple, which was called yangsi Temple by the locals. The Immigration Bureau rejected this ancient temple and ruined the scenery of the immigrant village, so it stripped off the old temple and built a temple-style WC on the base of the temple. This toilet is basically the same as the original yangsi Temple. It also has upturned ridges, cornices, carved beams and painted buildings and hollowed-out window grilles. It looks spectacular. Immigrants didn't understand what "WC" meant at first. When I entered the "temple", I found many toilets squatting inside. Only then did I know that "WC" is the English name of the public toilet.

People in the wetland are superstitious and think that toilets should not be built on the temple foundation. It is blasphemous to urinate on the temple foundation. Wetland people are also very open-minded. Although the Immigration Bureau has given the country more than one million dollars to the blind, the yangsi Temple in their hearts still stands there, still wishing the people in the wetland good weather, abundant crops, prosperous population and peace in the four seasons.

This is the wetland farmer in my eyes. Although time has changed and the years have passed, it is still so simple and kind.
